Our AVOCADOS
Comboyne Avocados has 6,000 trees, primarily producing the ever-popular Hass variety. With their classic oval shape and distinctive pebbly skin, they are an incredibly versatile fruit with many health benefits.
Our harvest period runs from August to November each year, during which time you can find our avocados in supermarkets all over Australia. This harvesting window begins after the early to mid-year harvest in Queensland and northern NSW and slightly overlaps with Western Australia and New Zealand commencing theirs around November/December.
Our focus is solely on delivering consistent and best-quality fruit from our family to yours. Grown with love and care, our avocados are picked by hand then packed in state-of-the-art facilities.
We employ sustainable farming practices including soil moisture monitoring, integrated pest management, efficient use of water and fertigation.
Compliance with safety standards and quality assurance is of paramount importance to Comboyne Avocados. Our tightly controlled supply chain is in accordance with Freshcare and Biosecurity Certifier accreditation (formerly ICA-30), ensuring we meet all relevant WH&S and industry standards such as the Coles and Woolworths Quality Assurance (WQA).
Looking to the future, we are committed to ongoing R&D in fostering our orchard health management and that of the wider industry. We are proud to partner with numerous organisations in collaborative projects, most recently with the University of New England regarding disease control, improved yields and more efficient farming.
